How do I access the courses?

Click on the Online Courses tab above to see the course categories. Once you have selected a category, the courses will be shown. If your institution subscribes you will have full access. Otherwise, courses are available for purchase and a preview of each course is available.

How can I tell if my institution subscribes?

Go to the home page and click on the button "Does your Institution subscribe?". This will take you to a list of subscribing institutions.

Can I access the courses as an individual?

Yes you can. All of our courses are available for purcahse.

What is the course format?

The courses consists of a series of informational text, video clips and interactive exercises. At the end of the course there is a multiple choice quiz.

How do I pass a course ?

The courses are assessed by a final quiz. If you pass this quiz, you have passed the course.

What happens if I pass a course?

If you pass a course you will be issued with a personalized CPD certificate that you can save, print or send by e-mail. We also recommend you save the certificate for audit purposes.

How does the CPD scheme work?

CPD accreditation comes from the Royal College of Physicians. The five GCP courses together will give you seven 'Distance-Learning Credits'. This is the maximum number of distance-learning credits you can take in any one year under the Royal College's scheme. For further information on the Royal College of Physicians CPD programme please contact them directly.

What technology do I need to view a course?

You shouldn't need to install any special software. You will need a recent version of Adobe Flash player and a Javascript enabled browser. If you don't have Flash installed you can download it for free here. You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to view your CPD course certificate, you can download Acrobat Reader here.
